この本のタイトルは、よく知られたアメリカのことわざ「LIKE PULLING TEETH（歯を抜くように）」に由来しています。
「Like Pulling Teeth（歯を抜くように）」とは、いつも困難な方法で物事をこなしているという、滑稽で奇妙な言い方です。
歯を抜くことが困難で痛みを伴うように、芸術も人生も困難で痛みを伴うことがあります。アーティストとして、父親として、
人間として、物事はいつも見かけ以上に難しい。絵を描くことは難しい。本を作るのは難しい。でも、この本は生々しいけれども
面白いタイトルにしたいと考えました。この本を作るのは決して悲しくは無いけれど、まるで「歯を抜くようなもの」でした。

This letterpress is made to coincide with the launch of Kevin's long-awaited book. The title of the book comes from a well-known American saying, "LIKE PULLING TEETH".
Like Pulling Teeth is a funny, strange way of saying that he is always doing things the hard way. Sometimes art and life can be difficult and painful, just like it is difficult and painful to have a tooth pulled out. As an artist and a father, and a human, things are always more difficult than they seem to be. Drawing can be difficult. Making a book can be difficult. But it is meant to be a funny, very graphic title. Not sad at all.

He has exhibited worldwide at solo art exhibitions in Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and NYC, and painted walls at mural and music festivals in Honolulu, Kobe, Detroit, and Coachella, among others."
