ベッキー・オーピンは絵を描き始めてから、女性らいしい形に夢中でした。『Book of Girls』は、30年以上にわたり彼女が女性として挑みながら育んできた表現を1冊の本にまとめた作品集です。本書は、ベッキーの大学時代のスケッチから、ファッションブランド「プリンセス・ティナ」のTシャツデザイン、現在のプロジェクトを通して彼女の作品のアーカイブをまとめています。彼女の制作プロセスや長年取り組んできた多様なメディアへのアプローチを裏側から紹介するだけでなく、彼女が関わってきたサブカルチャーやムーブメントへの視点にも触れています。

『Book of Girls』はTRiCスタジオがデザインを手掛けた自費出版のプロジェクトです。

For as long as Beci Orpin has drawn, she has been obsessed with the female form. Book of Girls brings together over 30 years of manifestations of these forms into a book. From the early days of university drawing to designing t-shirts for clothing label Princess Tina to current day projects, Book of Girls presents an archival view of Beci’s work told through her sketchbooks. The book presents a behind-the-scenes look into her process and various mediums she has worked in over the years, as well as a lense on the subcultures and movements she has been involved in along the way.

Book of Girls is a self-published project, designed by TRiC studios.
