ダミアンプーレインはイギリス、イーストロンドンおよびパリを拠点に活動するフランス人グラフィックデザイナー/アートディレクターです。ロンドンやパリに拠点を置く以前はドイツ、スペイン、そしてイタリアをベースに活動していました。 様々なミュージシャンのレコードスリーヴのデザインからアニメーション、アパレルへのグラフィックの提供など、印刷を主体としたプロジェクトを得意としています。また、アートギャラリー、ファッション・デザイナーやレコードレーベルのためのポスターや、その他のコミュニケーションツールのデザイン、ディレクションも行っています。近年手掛けているプロジェクトにはスケッチギャラリーへのデザイン提供に加え、Tank、Arena Homme+などの国際的な雑誌やファッションブランドのためのウェブサイトのデザインやハンドクラフトのセットデザインなどと幅広い作品提供を行っています。また、デジタル処理と手作業での制作をミックスしたパーソナルワークもGrafik、Dazed &Confused やCreative Review magazines などに掲載されています。尚、エキシビジョンをロンドンのKemistry GalleryやKK Outlet、日本ではCLASKAやCalm & Punk Gallery、またホーランドのBredaにあるMuseum of Graphic Designで行っています。自身の出版会社oodeeでは、女性の視点で女性の写真家の作品集を出すPOVシリーズや、Pieter Hugo, Charlotte Dumas, Viviane Sassenなど作品本の出版を行っています。

About Damien Poulain
Damien Poulain is a French graphic designer and art director working between East London and Paris. Before settling in these cities, he lived and worked in Germany, Spain, and Italy. Known for his print-focused projects, Damien creates everything from record sleeves for musicians to animations and graphics for apparel. His work spans posters and visual communication tools for art galleries, fashion designers, and record labels.

His recent projects include design work for Sketch Gallery in London, websites, and handcrafted set designs for international fashion magazines and brands such as Tank and Arena Homme+. His personal work?which blends digital techniques with handcrafted elements?has been featured in publications like Grafik, Dazed & Confused, and Creative Review.

He has held exhibitions at Kemistry Gallery and KK Outlet in London, CLASKA and Calm & Punk Gallery in Japan, and the Museum of Graphic Design in Breda, the Netherlands. Damien also runs his publishing label, OODEE, which produces photography books including the POV series (featuring work by female photographers from a female perspective), as well as publications by Pieter Hugo, Charlotte Dumas, and Viviane Sassen.
